This submarine is scaled: diameter, control surfaces, conning tower, screw, and antenna after the Los Angeles Class SSBN. However the length was reduced in order to make a pleasing static display.

The submarine was created in 1995 after eleven years of designing, engineering, and building "Recycle Flyers", a series of planes, blimps, and helicopters constructed from beverage cans.

Since inception in 1995 these submarines have submerged into service in several states, Washington D.C., England, Germany, Guam, and Italy.
